Amongst his many accolades, he is the Chair of the IASLC staging committee, responsible for the proposals for the 7th edition of the UICC/AJCC TNM classification for lung cancer. In recognition of his lifetime of achievement and contribution to this field, we have organised a two-day conference that covers the spectrum of thoracic surgical practice in conjunction with respiratory medicine andthoracic oncology. During this meetingrecognised experts from around the world willconverge in London, United Kingdom topresent and debate on the advances in management of thoracic surgery.

Participants

This meeting is ideally suited for physicians, oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, and specialist nurses with an interest in the management of diseases of the chest. In addition, participation from residents, students and other health professionals will be warmly welcomed.

The meeting will be held at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Dovehouse Street, South Kensington, London SW3 6LY on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th November 2009.

Course dinner

The course dinner (included in the registration fees) will be conducted on board The Symphony, on Thursday, 5th November 2009. This elegant dinner cruise on the river Thames amid the fireworks celebrations of Guy Fawkes' night will prove to be a truly memorable experience!
